If a woman’s uterus is out of place, her whole life can be out of balance -physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

Womb Massage (Abdominal Therapy)

Abdominal therapy is a hands-on massage that can be found across many cultures around the world; used to restore flow and the optimal position for reproductive and digestive organs.

The lineage of the abdominal therapy I practice was curated by Dr. Rosita Arvigo, a herbalist and Doctor of Naprapathy. She was taught the method during her apprenticeship under Belize Sharman, Don Elijio and their colleague, and herbal Midwife, Miss Hortense Robinson.

Abdominal therapy can be used for reproductive and menstrual cycle ailments such as PCOS, endometriosis and painful periods as well as gut-related issues like IBS. It can be used alongside IVF and to support post-op healing of scar tissues.

The method intends to support the optimal position of the reproductive and digestive organs, ensuring better flow and function of the N.A.V.E.L (the Nerves Arteries Veins Energy Lymph).

My offering

I am currently working specifically with only female clients who want to support their menstrual/fertility health and postpartum healing

Before we meet

I currently offer womb massage at WOMB in Cathays, Cardiff.

Once you get in touch we will set a date for your first massage, which will last 60 - 75 minutes.

I will send you an intake form, which is an important document for me to gain insight into your medical history and needs. Please complete and share with me via email at least 48 hours before your appointment.

First appointment

We will use the first 15-30 minutes to discuss your health history as disclosed on your intake form. I will also demo the massage for you to practice YAM (Your Abdominal Massage) at home.

The massage is performed with you lying on your back. Towels are provided to cover your upper and lower body, leaving just your abdomen exposed. I aim to always work in a trauma-informed way, at whatever pace is comfortable for you. Some people find abdominal massage deeply relaxing and even fall asleep. Others might find it a strange experience at first since culturally we tend to avoid our bellies.

Subsequent appointments.

If you are happy with the therapy and want to continue, we will set up a minimum of three more appointments. This is advised for you to see the best results. After the three sessions, we will review and you are welcome to book on a rolling basis.

I have been mentored in the practices of Abdominal Therapy since 2017 and qualified in 2021 to practice. I am the only Abdominal Therapist in Cardiff and one of three in Wales. I also offer this massage at Fresh Dance studio, Bristol.

Please note this massage is not suitable for pregnancy and you should leave at least 3 months postpartum.
